Travel Documentaries On Netflix To Watch!

Updated: May 16, 2021

Netflix is currently one of my best friends. I spend a lot of time working on my own company, and these travel films make me want to travel more. These are my favourite Netflix travel documentaries, and I'll be watching them again and again!

Down To Earth with Zac Efron

I'm new to Netflix and have just recently begun watching this series starring Zac Efron. He travels the globe with Darin Olien, a wellness specialist, in search of safe and sustainable lifestyles. This appeals to me because I am trying to live more mindfully and to do better for the world. I strongly advise you to watch this film!

Eat, Pray, Love

It's not your usual documentary, but it's a fantastic feel-good film. This film is one of my favourites, and I just saw it on television. After getting divorced, Elizabeth Gilbert (Julia Roberts) tries to start over with her life. She makes the decision to travel the world, and this film follows her as she travels through various countries and cultures!

Expedition Happiness

To be honest, just reading this title makes me happy! In a converted school bus, this filmmaker, his mother, and their dog ride through North America. They travelled from Alaska to Argentina and documented their journey in a video diary, which was later turned into this film.

Street Food Asia

If you've ever travelled to Asia, you'll find that street food is one of the first things you'll notice! This series follows a global cultural adventure in search of street food in Asia, as well as the stories of the people who prepare those dishes. India, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, and the Philippines are all featured in his series.
